1.   With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform passing away of Captain Ashok Kumar Wason (01720-H) at 0230h on Friday, 14th February 2025 due to Cardiac Arrest at Yatharth Hospital, Greater Noida. He was 70 years of age.

2.   Captain AK Wason (01720-H) ex-11th Integrated Course was commissioned into the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy on 1st January 1977. On completion of 31 years of meritorious service, he retired on 31st July 2008.

3. During his illustrious career, he held several important Afloat and Ashore appointments including Command of INS Matanga and INS Charag.

4.   Funeral and Last Rites of Late Captain AK Wason were performed at 1100h on 15th February 2025 at Moksh Dham, Safipur, Greater Noida  and a Prayer Meeting. Prayer Meeting and Rasam Pagri was held on 17th February 2025 at Gurudwara, Gurjinder Vihar, AWHO, Greater NOIDA.

5.   We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Captain AK Wason at his final resting place.

6.
