With profound grief and a heavy heart, regret to inform of the sad demise of Cmde Subrata Bose, (00314 N), on 11 Sep 2025 at Command Hospital (EC), Kolkata where he was hospitalised .

The veteran officer, from the 9th Course of NDA was an ASW Specialist and had a distinguished naval career. He commanded IN Ships Brahmaputra (TS1), Cauvery, Vikrant and Kunjali. He was the Commanding Officer of INS Netaji Subhas and NOIC (Calcutta) prior to his retirement.

On behalf of the President and all members of NFPC, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Sreela Bose and the family. We also pray to God Almighty to grant them immense strength and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Funeral and last rites were conducted on 12 Sep 25 at 1045 h at Keoratala Crematorium, Kolkata.
