1. With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform the passing away of Captain Surendra Kishore Verma (40557-Z); Age 74 years at 2300h on 13th August 2026 at Max Hospital, Saket, Delhi due to Interstitial Lung Disease.
2. Captain Surendra Kishore Verma was commissioned on 23 December 1974 in the Engineering Branch where he later on opted to Air Engineering Branch and retired on 31 October 2006. During his illustrious career he held many important appointments both afloat and ashore, the last being at NHQ as DDNAM. Post retirement, he kept himself very meaningfully occupied and served as Chief Manager, Customer Service at HAL, Goa till October 2012.
3. Funeral and Last Rites of Late Captain Surendra Kishore Verma were held on 14th August 2026 at the Shamshan Bhumi, Madanpuri, Gurugram.
4. We pray to the Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Captain Surendra Kishore Verma at his final resting place.
5. We convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to all members of the grieving Family of late Captain Surendra Kishore Verma and pray to Almighty God to grant them peace, solace, strength, courage, fortitude and forbearance to bear the pain of the irreplaceable loss.
