Regret to inform the sad demise of Captain Praveen Kumar Roy (51437A) on Wednesday, 25 March 2026 at RK Omni hospital, Visakhapatnam.

He was admitted to the hospital early hours of Wednesday the 25 Mar 26 and breathed his last late the same evening.

He was from the seventh NEC course and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 26 Nov 1994, retiring on 31 Aug 24. A submariner from the electrical branch, he did active service onboard Sindhugosh class submarines at both Visakhapatnam and Mumbai. He also served at DMDE Secunderabad and SBC Visakhapatnam.

He is survived by his spouse Mrs Archana Roy, a PG teacher and two daughters.
