With profound grief and heavy heart, regret to inform sad demise of LtCdr Kailash Nath Kapoor (00264-Z), on Monday 22 Jun 2026 in Max Saket Hospital Delhi, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms. His wife had predeceased him.
The officer had a glorious career in our fine Indian Navy (6th JSW) and served on IN Ships Tir, Gomati, Konkan, Rana, Ranjit, and at IN establishments INS Hansa, Angre and Venduruthy. He took part in the Goa Liberation and during the 1971 War, was employed for duties in Maritime Ops. After retirement he joined the Merchant Marine.
On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC, we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his Daughters Renuka (Son in Law Arun Malhotra) and the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.
Last rites and Funeral were held on 23 Jun 2026 at Lodhi Road Elec Crematorium near Nizamuddin.
