Regret to convey the sad demise of one of our Nonagenerians- LtCdr ( SDC) SV Nair on 09 Sep 2026 at Trivandrum.
LtCdr SV Nair was commissioned in the Navy on 30 Sep 67 from Lower Decks. During a career of 19 years as a Communication Officer, he served in several ships including INS Vikrant during the Goa Liberation action in 1962.
He also served in NHQ as ADNO, COMCEN(V) and in Signal School.
He retired on 31 Aug 1987. He has settled at Trivandrum after retirement.
He is survived by Mrs Malathy Amma and two children, Ms Mayakumari and son SV Mohan
