1.  With profound grief and sorrow, regret to inform passing away of LtCdr Onkar Singh Rana (89733-N)(NFMC-0853), 80 yrs from Navi Mumbai, on 18 Apr 2025, after a prolonged illness, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.

2.  The officer had a glorious career in the Indian Navy and like Father both his Sons joined our fine Service. The officer was in the medical stream and served in INHS Sanjeeni, Jeevanti , Asvini, Vikrant, Old Delhi and Mysore. He was a keen sportsman and represented services in Volleyball and basketball.

3.  On behalf of President and all members of NFPC we offer our heart felt condolences to (NOK-Wife) Mrs Meena Rana, Sons Cdr Dinesh Rana(NFMC Veteran) and Cdr SS Rana, (presently serving in NHQ) and the grieving family members. We pray that they face the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.

4.  Funeral was conducted in Raghunath Vihar crematorium, Kharghar on 18 Apr and last rites at JVV Kharghar, Phase-1.
