Rajendra Sinhji Army Mess and Institute (RSAMI), Pune

The Rajendra Sinhji Mess and Institute (RSAMI), Pune has been constructed and partially equipped with government funds to provide social, recreational and sports facilities to its members and their families. There are two types of Membership : Service (for serving officers) and Associate (for retired officers and dependents). In the event of demise of a member having Associate Membership, his widow can apply for transfer of his membership to her name without having to pay additional amount/deposit.

Membership

The RSAMI has placed a cap on Associate Membership of 3500. Thereafter, a waiting list is maintained and fresh membership is accorded with the approval of the Patron (Chief of Staff, SC). Associate membership of retired naval officers has been restricted to 6% i.e. 210 members. For naval veterans seeking to become members of RSAMI, Pune, it is obligatory to own a property in the city. However, even those veterans who have not been granted associate membership can use the facilities of  RSAMI on production of their retired ID card and by paying a casual fee of Rs 50 per visit. 

Membership Charges and Subscriptions
  • Non-refundable Entry Fee – Rs. 5000/-
  • Annual Subscription will be charged at the full rate and collected annually for 12 months at the beginning of the financial year i.e. 01 April (click here for payment methods)
    • Associate Members (upto 70 years) – Rs. 6400/- per annum.
    • Associate Members (above 70 years) – Rs. 4000/- per annum.
    • Widows – Rs. 4000/- per annum.
  • Staff Diwali Box – Rs. 150 p.m.
  • Guest Charges
    • Serving / retired guest – Rs. 50 per head per entry.
    • Civil guest – Rs. 200 per head per entry.
    • Guests are charged at half rates on Mon, Wed and Thu.

    • Members – Rs. 75
    • Guests – Rs. 125
Termination of Membership

All those members who have not paid their yearly subscription for consecutive 3 months. Their MSO will be adjusted against their outstanding bill and membership will be terminated in the fourth month.

Facilities

The facilities are RSAMI, Pune include:-

  • Cinema Hall
    • Screening of movies will be intimated on the RSAMI Whatsapp broadcast.
    • Movie tickets will be booked online only. No refund will be admissible on the cancellation of tickets.
  • Trinco Restaurant (capacity – 124). Ala carte menu every day. In addition, dinner on Saturdays and lunch and dinner on Sundays include buffets.
    • Home Delivery. On adequate availability of catering staff, delivery of snacks, breakfast and meals will be made available at the assigned point or the member’s home. The rate for the same will be fixed and revised from time to time.
  • Bars – 3
  • Outdoor gazebos – 4.
  • Food court.

    • Retreat of capacity 20-25 persons
    • Oasis of capacity 15-20 persons
  • Swimming Pool (charges for members are Rs. 1500 p.m.).
    • The Swimming Pool has reopened from 02 May 22 for members only (no guests permitted). Timings are as follows
      • Morning : 0700-1030 hrs
      • Evening : 1600-2000 hrs
  • Gym / Sauna
  • Tennis Courts
  • Sanjog Lawns, Stage and Hall for events like get-togethers and wedding receptions (click here for booking rates).
  • 10 Guest Rooms (charges are Rs. 800 for a single room and Rs. 1000 for a double).
Catering Timings

Timings for Trinco Restaurant are from 1200-1500 hrs and 1900-2300 hrs, with the last order to be placed 30 min before the closing time.

    • Open on all days including Sundays and Holidays.
      • Members and Dependents – 0700 to 1200 hrs and 1600 to 1900 hrs.
      • Members only – 1900 to 2000 hrs.
    • Swimming Pool will remain closed on Tuesdays.
    • Guests may use the swimming pool not exceeding four times a month.

      • Ladies/Dependents (female) – Wed, Fri, Sat from 0900 to 1030 hrs and 1600 to 1700 hrs

There is also an RSAMI at Khadki, having its address at 8, Mula Rd, Shree Satyam Housing Society, Khadki 411003. There are two types of Membership : Service (for serving officers) and Associate (for retired officers and dependents). Membership is open and there is no restriction on new membership. The application form for Associate Membership can be downloaded here. The Reception NCO (Mob No 9175894130) will be available to clear any doubts or queries. The Institute is also affiliated to various other Clubs and Institutes on reciprocal basis.

Timings

  • The Institute remains closed on Monday. It closes at 1500 hrs in the afternoon and 2300 hrs in the evening on other days.

Dress Code
  • Gentlemen
    • Lounge suit /combination/national dress and leather shoes with socks. Full/half sleeves shirt /tee shirt tucked in with open collars.
    • Trousers/jeans and leather shoes with socks.
    • Safari suit and leather shoes with socks.
    • Sikh gentleman (including boys above 18 yrs of age) must wear turbans. Patkas or caps are NOT PERMITTED.
    • Torn/worn out jeans, collarless shirts/tee shirts, shorts, untucked shirts, dhoti, kurta, pyjamas, traditional dresses, sports shoes, chappals and sandals are NOT PERMITTED.
  • Ladies
    • Are expected to be appropriately dressed in a comparable degree of formality as has been prescribed for gentlemen and be attired as per norms, customs and traditions of our society and culture.
