Dear Members,

1.  With profound grief and heavy heart, we regret to inform sad demise of Naval Veteran Cdr SPS Duggal, 42nd NDA/4 Integ course (popularly known as ‘Bobby’). He was 75 years old and residing at Nyati Chesterfield, Undri, Pune 411028. The officer was recovering from heart surgery and was to be discharged from AICTC on 25 Nov 2025. However he had a severe cardiac arrest the same day and passed away, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.

2. Cdr SPS Duggal was commissioned into the Navy on 01 Jan 1974. He had a very illustrious career in the Navy spanning over 25 years, before he took PMR on 1999. A Gunnery specialist, he was part of Commissioning crew of INS Rana. The officer had done many prestigious appointments. He commanded LCU L32 at Port Blair. He also served in the missile boat, INS Talwar, MMCB Trata, CWO at SNC and Naval NCC at Pune. Post retirement he worked in the corporate world in security sector for a few years. He was a most jovial and helpful person who will be missed by many.

3. On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.

4. The funeral was held on 26th November 2025.
