Cmde PC Gulati

Regret to inform the sad demise of octogenarian Cmde PC Gulati, NM (50127-Z), on 26 Jul 2026. He was ailing for some time and had just returned after an surgery in Mumbai. He was on his path to recovery when he succumbed to severe internal bleeding.

He was commissioned in the Electrical Branch in September 1961 and he retired in April 1995, after an illustrious career spanning 34 years.

An Alumni of DSSC Wellington, he handled various important assignments including Instructional duties at Valsura, Sqn LO of P31 Squadron ( and LO Arnala and Anjadip), Leander Project Team (NHQ) and Leander Weapons Testing Tuning Team, Mumbai for about 5 years and commissioning Commander (L) of Vindhyagiri, and also a stint with ONGC. Later, as a Commodore he was the General Manager of ND(V). the Director of Systems (Weapons)/NHQ. Subsequently he served at DIPAC, during which tenure he transformed it to a vibrant organisation taking many initiatives for improving the functioning of the organisation.

After retirement he established a computer company of his own in Bangalore which he ran very successfully till very recently.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Meena Gulati and two sons (one of them having served as a Naval officer). Presently both his sons are settled in the USA.

NFPC mourns the loss of the veteran and wishes that the family is bestowed with the strength to withstand the loss.

The last rites were performed at Panathur Crematorium on 29 Jul 2026.
