1.Regret to inform that Cmde Surya Kumar Chandra, VSM, 50212 T of Kolkata Chapter passed away peacefully on 29 Jul 26 evening at Gurdaspur, Punjab at his son’s residence. The fourth among six brothers , he is survived by an elder sibling and the youngest, his spouse Anjali Chandra, daughter Sudheshna Dasgupta who resides in Brisbane and son Sidhartha Chandra.
2. Cmde SK Chandra was born on 20 Oct 1947, graduated from BITS Rishra , was commissioned in Indian Navy on 30 Sep 1968. He retired on 30 Oct 2003 following his last appointment as DGQA Navy.
3. Funeral was conducted on 30 July afternoon with further rituals conducted at Kolkata.
