With profound grief and heavy heart, regret to inform sad demise of Cmde RR Beedu (40224-T), 82 yrs on Wed 19 Aug 2026 in MGM Hosp Vashi due Cardiac arrest, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realm.
He served in missile boat INS Vidyut of Killer Squadron and took part in 1971 Indo Pak war. He was also the commissioning EO of INS Vijaydurg. Among other appointments, he also served in Naval Dockyard, Vizag and his last tenure was as DQA((WP) in DGQA organisation.
He settled down in Jal Vayu Defence Enclave Phase 1 Kharghar and was the Chairman of the Managing Committee during initial stages. He made many contributions for the development of the society
He was a top class athelete in his younger days and represented India in triple Jump & Pole vault in many international events and won accolades for the country
On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his wife Mrs Suman Beedu, Son Atul Beedu and the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.
Funeral and Last rites were held on 20 Aug 2026 in Elec crematorium near Raghunath Vihar, Kharghar.
