Dear Members,

1. With profound grief and sorrow we deeply regret to inform the sad demise of Cdr Ashok Kumar Sood (40399-R) at 0003h on Sunday, 11th August 2024 at Indian Spinal Injury Centre, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. He was 76 years of age.

2. Cdr AK Sood was a graduate from Regional Engineering College, MESRA and was commissioned into Indian Navy on 09 Jun 1969.

3. During his illustrious career he held many important assignments, which include Base Repair Organisation Visakhapatnam, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, he was deputed to undergo course at BARC, served at HQ, WNC, METTLE and DND (SSG).

4. He served as Engineer Officer, IN Ships Kadmatt and Darshak.

5. We pray to God Almighty 🙏 to grant eternal peace to the noble soul of Late Cdr AK Sood at his final resting place.

6. On behalf of the President and all members of NFPC, we convey our heartfelt condolences to his NoKs and all members of the grieving family of Late Cdr AK Sood and pray to Almighty God to grant them Peace, Solace and Strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
