1.   With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform passing away of Commander Anil Lanba (02269-F) after valiantly battling with Malignant Brain Tumour at Fortis Hospital, Greater NOIDA, he succumbed at 2120h on Thursday, 23rd January 2025. He was 64 years of age.

2.   Commander Anil Lanba (02269-B) ex-58th Course NDA was commissioned into the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy on 1st July 1981. On completion of 24 years of meritorious service, he retired on 31st July 2005.

3.   During his illustrious career, he held several important Afloat and Ashore appointments including Navigating Officer of IN Ships Bhavnagar, Mahish, Magar, Dunagiri and Ganga and Command of IN Ships Vibhuti and Dunagiri.

4.   Funeral and Last Rites  of Late Commander Anil Lanba were performed on Saturday, 25th January 2025 at Pilkhanvalla Farm, Village Amarpur, District Pawal, Haryana. A Prayer Meeting in his memory was also held on Monday, 27th January 2025 at Club Hall, ATS Greens, Paradiso, Sector – Chii 4, Greater NOIDA.

5.   We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Commander Anil Lanba at his final resting place.

7.   On behalf of NFPC, we convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to all members of the grieving Family of Late Commander Anil Lanba and pray to Almighty God to give them Strength, Courage and fortitude to bear pain of irreplaceable and untimely loss.
