1.   With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform passing away of Commodore KB Suri (50129-B), VSM. After valiantly battling with Cerebral Malignancy he succumbed to Cardiorespiratory Arrest at 0815h on Thursday, 23rd January 2025 at the residence of his son, Mr Amitabh Suri at 1041, Sobha Palladian, Old HAL Airport Road, Yemalur, Bangalore – 560037. He was 84 years of age.

2.   Commodore KB Suri (50129-B) ex-19th Course NDA was commissioned into the Electrical Branch of the Indian Navy on 1st July 1962. On completion of 30 years of meritorious service, he retired on 31st July 1992.

3.  During his illustrious career, he held several important Afloat and Ashore appointments including LO of IN Ships Investigator, Jamuna, Brahmaputra and Darshak;  Officer-in-Charge Base Maintenance Unit, Visakhapatnam, CQAE (WE), as Chief Quality Assurance Officer and at NHQ as Director of Systems (Electrical).

4. Funeral and Last Rites of Late Commodore KB Suri were performed on Saturday, 25th January 2025 at Brar Square Cemetery, Delhi Cantonment.

5.   We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Commodore KB Suri at his final resting place.

6.   On behalf of NFPC members, we convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to all members of the grieving Family of Late Commodore KB Suri and pray to God Almighty to grant them Strength, Courage and Fortitude to bear pain of irreplaceable and untimely loss.
