Cdr Jasvinder Pal Singh

1. With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform passing away of Commander Jasvinder Pal Singh (40304-Z) at 1710hrs on 12 May 25 due to Cardiac Arrest at his residence; House No. W-18, Greater Kailash, Part – I, New Delhi – 110048. He was 78 years of age.
2. Commander JP Singh (40304-Z) ex-1/69th University Entry Scheme (Marine Engineers) was commissioned into the Engineering Branch of the Indian Navy on 24th August 1968. On completion of 22 years of meritorious service, he retired on 30th September 1991.
3. During his illustrious career, he held several important Afloat and Ashore appointments as follows: –
(a) Afloat Appointments:
(i) INS Deepak for Watchkeeping Certificate.
(ii) Duties as Engineer Officer on board Oil Tanker, Sagar Dweep during 1971 War.
(iii) Flight Deck Engineer Officer, INS Vikrant.
(iv) Commander (Engineer), INS Vindhyagiri.
(b) Ashore Appointments:
(i) Duties with Directorate of Warship Production, NHQ.
(ii) INS India Additional as part of Navy Training Team at Lagos, Nigeria.
(iii) Duties with Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.
(iv) Deputy Director, Marine Engineering, NHQ.
4. Funeral and Last Rites of Late Commander JP Singh were performed on Tuesday, 13th May 2025 at Electric Crematorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
5. We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Commander JP Singh at his final resting place.
6. On behalf of President and all members of NFPC we convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to all members of the grieving Family of Late Commander JP Singh and pray to Almighty God to grant them peace, strength, courage, fortitude and forbearance to bear pain of irreplaceable loss.
