With profound grief and heavy heart, regret to inform sad demise of Cdr Udaya Sankar, NM(G) (01716-Z), who breathed his last in Chittoor on 27 Apr 2026, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.
The Officer had a glorious career in the Indian Navy and undertook long NBCD Course in St Petersburg, Russia. After taking premature retirement from the Navy, he joined Mazagaon Docks Ltd. He lived in Mumbai during most of his Naval life and also post retirement, but shifted to Chittoor due to poor health about 6 years ago.
Uday was suffering from a serious condition of Parkinson Plus Syndrome reducing him to a vegetative state for the last few years. Due to his poor health, he was shifted from Mumbai to Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC, we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his Wife, Mrs Nalini Sankar and the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.
Funeral and Last rites were held in Chittoor on 30 Apr 2026.
