1. With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform passing away of our Senior Veteran Cmde Biman Mistry (40347-Y)(NFMC-0402), 77 yrs, at INHS Asvini last night 12 Feb 2025 after a prolonged illness, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.

2. Cmde BB Mistry had a glorious innings in the Navy in the Engineering branch. He was commissioned in 1969 and was selected to be in a special team at BRO Vizag while he was still a SLt. He subsequently became a Petya expert.

3. After retirement he was a colourful character noticeable at all Naval events with a flowing beard and braces. His positive attitude lifted the spirits of all those who met him. He will be remembered for his social work in recent years. Post retirement he had settled down in Thane.

4. On behalf of President and all members of NFPC we offer our heart felt condolences to (NOK-Wife) Mrs Roma Mistry, Daughters Shefali and Rupali and the grieving family members. We pray to Almighty to give the grieving family strength to face the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.

5. The last rites were held at Thane on 13 Feb 2025 in Valley Flower Annex, Thane prior cremation.
