With profound grief and sorrow, regret to inform passing away of Naval Veteran Capt Sebastian Anchees (01869-Y)(Retd), 71 yrs, in INHS Asvini at 2200 hrs on Mon 18 Nov 2024, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.

The Officer had a glorious career in the Indian Navy and was the first Musician Officer of the Navy. He was the legendary Musician officer, Composer and Conductor of Navy and OIC Naval Philarmonic Orchestra, who showcased the Indian Navy Band in a number of countries.

On behalf of the President and all members of NFPC, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Pavana, his children LtCdr Nigel and Ms. Natasha, and their grieving family members. We pray that they face the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.
