NFPC and NFMC members met at the lush surroundings of INS Shivaji during which two events – Karaoke Evening and T-15 Cricket Match – were held. Due to availability of limited rooms at INS Shivaji, only 15 members from NFPC took part in both the events.

The Karaoke singing competition took place on 07 Feb at NOI INS Shivaji, which was followed by Prize distribution, Cocktails and Dinner. The Karaoke evening was memorable with members of both the chapters enthralling the audience with classic Bollywood songs and also some English numbers. NFPC team sang their way to Victory.

T15 Cricket match was held the next day – 08 Feb – between the two Chapters at Vishwakarma grounds opposite NOI. This was followed by a Prize distribution, PLD and lunch. The match commenced at 0830 hrs. After winning the toss, Pune Panthers NFPC Team Captain V Adm Jaywant Korde chose to bat first. The practice sessions of over 2 months bore fruit and our valiant batsmen put up a spirited display totalling up 121 for 5 in the allotted 15 overs.

In response. despite a good start by NFMC, they faltered midway and lost 4 quick wickets. Nevertheless, NFMC showing resilience and managed to fight their way back into the match. NFMC reached the target with 8 balls to spare, thus winning the cricket match by 6 wickets.

The weekend saw much bonhomie and camaraderie spread over two days between the two Chapters for these events which are expected to be held a regular annual fixture from now onwards.
