NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojna 2025

The NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana 2025 is a nationwide legal aid scheme launched by the National Legal Services Authority to provide free and competent legal services to serving and retired defence, paramilitary personnel, and their families across India.

Objectives and Purpose

The scheme aims to offer legal assistance, advice, and representation for issues such as property disputes, welfare claims, matrimonial and civil matters, pension disputes, and other family-related legal matters that defence personnel or their dependents may encounter.

It is designed to ensure swift, professional, and accessible legal help, reducing the need for families or veterans to make repeated court visits or face procedural delays, especially when stationed in remote areas.

NALSA intends to establish dedicated legal service clinics at Kendriya, Rajya, and Zila Sainik Welfare Boards nationwide, leveraging technology for online applications, e-counselling, e-mediation, and e-Lok Adalats.

Coverage and Implementation

Beneficiaries include serving and retired personnel of the Defence Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), ex-servicemen, and their dependent family members. The scheme is implemented through Legal Services Clinics at state and district levels, in collaboration with various Sainik Welfare Boards under the Ministry of Defence and respective states. Constitutionally, the scheme draws from Article 39A, mandating equal justice and free legal aid for all, with focused priority towards defence families.

Benefits

  • Free legal services and professional representation.
  • Awareness of legal rights and welfare schemes for defence personnel and families.
  • Quick and effective grievance redressal through multi-agency coordination.
  • Reduced burden of legal proceedings for those deployed in border or remote locations.[9][12]

How to Apply

Beneficiaries can approach Legal Services Clinics set up at Rajya, Zila, or Kendriya Sainik Boards for assistance and are also provided digital access for submitting and resolving cases online.

The Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana reflects NALSA’s commitment to supporting the families of soldiers and paramilitary staff while they serve the nation, ensuring that their legal needs are professionally met without undue hardship.
