Dear Members,

1. With profound grief and heavy hearts we regret to inform the sad demise of Capt Chandra Sekhar Panda (70275- R). He was an Education and Met Officer. He passed away on 03 Nov 2025 at KIMS hospital Bhubaneswar, while undergoing treatment for Cardiac complications over the last two days.

2. Born on 10 Feb 1961, he was commissioned into the Navy on 11 Feb 1985 and retired on 28 Feb 2018.

3. The officer served in various ships, air stations and training establishments with distinction and had the reputation of being a thorough professional and a straight forward officer. Post retirement from Navy, he worked with Sri Sri University as Director of Students Affairs for more than five years. An extremely good human being and a dynamic person, his passing away is a huge loss to the veterans in Odisha.

4. Late Capt Panda is survived by his wife Mrs Debasmita, son Maj Prime Panda, daughter in law and grandson.

The cremation took place in his native place, Maghadambur, Kuruda PO, Balasore, Odisha on 4th Nov.
