Dear Members,

1. With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of Cdr Rajeev Mudholkar at AICTS, Command hospital yesterday evening, due to pneumonia and other co-morbidities.

2. Cdr Rajeev R Mudholkar joined the Naval Academy on 09 Aug 1980 and was commissioned on 01 Jan 1982. He joined Submarine Arm and served on board numerous submarines before taking over as EXO of Kalveri and Shalki. He had extended commands of Shishumar and Shalki. Although a Communicator, he excelled in Submarine handling, as seen by his handling of Shalki. He took premature retirement in 2008 and settled down at Pune.

3. A pleasant gentleman and always smiling, he will always be remembered for his cool and calm demeanour and warm heartedness. An avid traveller and a motorcycle enthusiast, he did numerous trips across many states on his Bullet as a bachelor, a passion he continued, graduating to a car later.

4. Funeral was conducted on 31 Dec at Muktidham crematorium.

5. On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.
