1.  With profound grief and heavy heart, we regret to inform sad demise of senior naval veteran, Cmde Kamaljit Singh Sekand VSM on 16 Nov 2025. He was 87 years old and was residing at G102, Sanskruti, Handewadi Road, opposite Runwall Seagull, Pune 411028. He passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind many to mourn his transit to higher realms.

2. Cmde Kamaljit Sekand VSM was commissioned into the Naval Electrical Branch on 24 Apr 1960. He had a very illustrious career in the Navy spanning over 39 years. He had done many prestigious appointments which included Commanding Officer Tunir, NDC, Director TINT and GM at SBC(V). He retired in 1994. After retirement he headed the NELCO plant in Angul, Orissa before shifting to Pune almost 20 years ago. He lived a very healthy life and passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his Wife Amita, Son Akhil, daughter Anisha Sharma and Son in law Capt Rajnish Sharma.

3. On behalf of President and all the members of NFPC we offer our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his wife, the children and the grieving family members. We pray that they bear the irreplaceable loss with courage and fortitude.

4. The funeral was held at Mahdevwadi Crematorium on 17 Nov.
