1. Regret to inform that LCdr Hoshiar Singh (Retd) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of 20 Aug 25 at Dona Paula, Goa.

2. Lcdr Hoshiar Singh was from Air Engg branch, He served in various capacities in INS Hansa, Vendurthy & Garuda. He served onboard INS Vikrant from 1966 to 1967 and was AEO INAS 551 at INS Hansa from 1968 to 1970. He was trained in UK during Seaking Helicopter acquisition program in 1970-71 before being posted to INS Garuda.

3. Prior to retirement he was in NHQ, DNAM from 1979 to 82. After retirement he migrated to USA.

4. At the beginning of this year, he and his wife Smt. Brijinder Kaur moved to Goa to stay with their son Mr Sunny Singh who is a practicing Architect.

5. Last rites for late LCdr Hoshiar Singh were performed at St. Inez Crematorium, Taleigao on Thursday 21 August.

6. May God Almighty give the strength and solace to the family members for this untimely and sad loss. On behalf of President and all members of NFPC, we offer our heartfelt condolences to the family.
