Dear Members,

1. With profound grief and sorrow, we deeply regret to inform passing away of Lt Cdr Krishna Gopal Sharma (50120-H) peacefully in his sleep at 0535 h on Wednesday, 28th January 2026 at his residence at D-224 Sarvodaya Enclave, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi – 110017. He was 88 years of age.

2. Late Lieutenant Commander Krishna Gopal Sharma (50120-H) was commissioned in 1961. An Electrical Engineer
from IIT Kharagpur, he was also an award-winning NCC cadet, reflecting his early commitment to discipline and service. Among his prominent postings, he served as an instructor at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, and was deputed to Germany from 1974–1976 for the commissioning of INS Shakti. His career was marked by dedication, integrity, and quiet excellence. He took pre-mature retirement in Aug 1981.

3. Funeral and Last Rites of Late Lieutenant Commander Krishna Gopal Sharma were performed at 1230h on 28th January 2026 at Lodhi Cremation Ground, New Delhi.

4. We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal Peace to the noble soul of Late Lt Cdr Krishna Gopal Sharma at his final resting place.

5. We convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to all members of the grieving Family of Late
Lt Cdr Krishna Gopal Sharma and pray to Almighty God to grant them peace, solace, comfort, strength, courage, fortitude and forbearance to bear pain of irreplaceable loss.
