1. With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of  R Adm Andre Aroume on 15th August 2025.

2.  RAdm Aroume was born 22 Dec 1949 and commissioned into the Indian Navy on 29 Jul 1974 in Education branch. He was the first officer in Education branch to be promoted to Flag rank.

3.  He retired from the Navy on 31 Dec 2007, and since then, was living in Karaikal. His wife passed away four years back and was living alone, as his son , Arun Allen was working abroad.

4. He suffered a heart attack on 13th Aug and was admitted to the hospital at Puducherry. Unfortunately, the end came on 15th morning at 0730 hrs.

5. On behalf of President and all members of NFPC, we convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to his grieving family. We pray to Almighty God to grant them peace, comfort, strength, courage and fortitude to bear the pain of the irreplaceable loss.
