Dear Members,

1. With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of Rear Admiral Sanjiv Madhukar Luktuke ( 40694K ) at around 1000 hrs on Monday, 19 May 2025 due to cardiac arrest at home, Pune. He was 69 years of age.

2. Rear Admiral Sanjiv Madhukar Luktuke ( 40694K ), direct entry Naval Academy was commissioned into the Engineering Branch of the Indian Navy in July 1977. He is an alumni of DSSC having successfully completed his course in 1989-90.

3. On completion of 37 years of meritorious service, he retired on 31 Jan 2014. After retirement he served in M/s Vertex Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad from 2018 -23 as CEO.

4. He was Chairman of Rolling Hills society, where he was residing. A very spiritual and jovial person, he was always cheerful, healthy and physically active veteran who loved playing badminton and his daily regular walks.

5. During his illustrious career spanning over 37 years, he held several important Afloat and Ashore appointments some which were as follows: –

(a) Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji, Lonavala.
(b) Senior Faculty in DIAT, Pune.
(c) Engineer Officer of INS Ranvir, Mumbai.
(d) OIC CMET in INS Shivaji, Lonavala.
(e) Project Director in ATV Project, New Delhi.

6. Funeral and Last Rites of Late Rear Admiral Sanjiv Madhukar Luktuke ( 40694K ) were performed on Wednesday, 21st May 2025 at Baner Smashan Bhumi, Pune under the aegis of Navy Foundation Pune Chapter.

7. On behalf of President and all members of NFPC, we convey our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Mrs Swati Luktuke, their children and all members of the grieving family. We pray to Almighty God to grant them peace, comfort, strength, courage and fortitude to bear the pain of the irreplaceable loss.
